At Spa Family Mediation, we believe that resolving family disputes shouldn’t come at a high financial cost. We offer competitive fees from the start of your mediation journey. We believe in clarity from the start, our pricing is simple and transparent.

Initial Conversation

Free

Opportunity to speak with a Family Mediator who can talk to you about booking a Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM).

Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM)

£100 per person

+ Room Hire (face to face meetings only)

An hour (either face to face or online) to:

  • Explore your own unique personal situation and concerns.
  • Explain the mediation process.
  • Assess the suitability of your case for Joint Mediation Sessions.
Signing Your Court Form

£40

A Court Form signed by an Accredited Family Mediator.

Please note this will only be needed if you decide not to proceed with Mediation after the Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM), and you want to apply to the Family Court.

Joint Mediation Sessions

£125 per person per hour

+ Room Hire (face to face sessions only)

Sessions are usually scheduled for 1.5 hours.

Our fee includes:

  • A Family Mediator facilitating your discussions.
  • A written confidential and without prejudice summary of the matters discussed. This will include an action list to remind you of enquiries to be made before your next session.
Preparation of Documents

£125 per person per hour

  • The preparation of confidential and without prejudice documents setting out the decisions you have jointly made during the Mediation Process.
  • This may include a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Open Financial Statement (OFS) and/or a Parenting Plan.

Additional Information:

  • VAT is not applicable on our fees.
  • For face to face MIAMs/ Mediation Sessions, the additional Room Hire fee is passed on to the participant(s) at cost. Approximate fee is £15 per room per hour, but there is some variation across our locations.
  • Payment must be received 5 days in advance of Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings (MIAMs) and Joint Mediation Sessions.
  • Appointments cancelled more than two working days in advance will be refunded in full less any venue hire costs incurred. Refunds for cancellations made less than two working days before the appointment is due will be at our discretion.
  • Legal Aid for Family Mediation is available for those who pass capital and income tests. We do not offer Legal Aid, but we can help you assess whether you qualify for it. Please let us know if you would like to check eligibility before booking your Mediation Information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM).
